It is with great excitement and pleasure that I invite you to join our Chicana/Latina Electronic Discussion Group, MUJER-L. MUJER-L is a free and open forum for discussion and exchange of information for those who share an interest in Chicana and/or Latina issues. You are invited to actively participate, dialog and exchange ideas as well as to post pertinent items.
We have all become aware of the rapid growth of the use of electronic communication on the Internet. Electronic mail provides a medium of communication that is efficient, quick, and cost-effective. As a community, Latinos should take advantage of these technological innovations. For this reason MUJER-L has been established.
The primary purpose of MUJER-L is to provide an electronic forum to discuss, present, distribute and create information dealing with Chicanas and/or Latinas. As well as to build an international network among those who share an interest in Chicana-Latina issues. MUJER-L will also establish the presence of the Chicana and Latina on the Internet by providing information that will be added to the women studies section on Chicano/LatinoNet.
MUJER-L provides a unique opportunity for those who share an interest in this area. While there are many email lists in the United States this is the only one that focuses on Chicanas and Latinas.
